Tai Chi Manual Level 1-6

$150.00

Tai Chi Manual Level 1-6 book provides details and information of the entire Khor Tai Chi 108 Yang Style based form taught by the Australian Academy of Tai Chi. This includes not only detailed text and pictures of the entire six levels of the Tai Chi form but detailed reference to techniques, philosophy and practice as a Qigong form.

The detailed movement descriptions, in parts 2-7 of the Tai Chi manual, contain the information unique to each movement – that is, the details of the physical movement with co-ordination, breathing and the important points to watch when performing the move. Also applying to every move the Tai Chi principles. There are also specific techniques such as Tai Chi weight transfer technique, the Tai Chi stepping on the square technique, the Tai Chi breathing technique, and the Tai Chi “Silk movement” technique, which are applied throughout the set.

Detailed information on these principles and techniques are contained in part nine of the manual. Learning

Learning and understanding the movement descriptions is only the first step to performing Tai Chi – what is often called the ‘outer’ form. Once you have established the outer form of a movement, refer to the principles and techniques. Applying these will lead you to the ‘inner’ form. To assist in the development of both ‘outer’ and ‘inner’ forms, a “Commentary” has also been included on each move. The commentary takes a deeper look at the move, including such aspects as:
– Qi aspects
– Common problems associated with performing the particular move, along with ways of identifying and resolving these
– Mental imagery associated with the move
The “Commentary” is the one area we would expect will grow and change as knowledge and understanding of Tai Chi increases, as they do in any living art.
