Tai Chi for Fitness over Forty

Tai Chi for Fitness over Forty – Tai Chi is often called ‘the holistic exercise’ because it exercises body, mind and spirit, and promotes relaxation. Tai Chi for Fitness Over Forty is a health program that uses specially selected Tai Chi exercises to maintain health, vitality and well-being throughout life. This approach is meditative and strengthening and the exercises will help to prevent or control:

  • arthritis
  • back pain
  • poor balance or coordination
  • blood pressure
  • circulation problems
  • chronic fatigue
  • depression
  • osteoporosis

The Fitness Over Forty (FOF) Program in this book draws on Grandmaster Gary Khor’s lifetime of experience with Chinese healing arts such as Tai Chi, Qigong, acupressure, chi massage, chi meditation and chi nutrition. It is designed to maximise health and provide useful techniques for preventing or alleviating ageing-related conditions that can otherwise play havoc with quality of our lives as we age.

Grandmaster Gary founded the Australian Academy of Tai Chi in 1976, now the leading Tai Chi school in Australia and the largest Tai Chi Academy outside China. He is also founder and president of the Feng Shui Academy of China. Gary holds the Diploma of Tai Chi/Wushu from the China Wu Shu Federation and is a fully qualified international Tai Chi/Wu Shu judge. His other books include Living Chi, Tai Chi for Stress Control and Relaxation, Tai Chi for a Healthy Lifestyle, Tai Chi for Better Breathing and Feng Shui for Personal Harmony.
